Delete my FaithPair account

This page explains how to request the deletion of your FaithPair account and its associated data, with or without the app.
1. In the app
Open Profile › Settings › Privacy & data › Delete my account, type DELETE to confirm, then tap “Permanently delete my account”.
2. Without the app
Request deletion by email
Enter your account’s address. We send a confirmation email to it; the link is valid for 24 hours and deletion starts as soon as you click it.
By email: write to admin@faithpair.ca with the subject “Account deletion”, from your account’s address. We confirm the deletion within 2 business days.
3. Data deleted
Account access, discovery and Pair formation stop immediately. The following data is deleted from live systems within 30 days:
- the account: email address, first name, hashed password, language preference and sessions;
- the public profile and photos;
- FIND, Foundations and Marriage Compass answers, preferences and derived compatibility data;
- messages and images you sent, your Introductions, and your DUO and TOGETHER content;
- devices registered for notifications.
4. Data kept, and for how long
- Minimal consent evidence: up to 3 years after closure, without sensitive answers.
- Security and audit logs: no more than 12 months, unless a specific incident or legal requirement applies.
- Backups (recovery history): no more than 30 days.
FaithPair also keeps a minimal tombstone so a backup restoration cannot silently reactivate the account. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
